Like they say, certain things happen only once. Let us hope that is the case with this pandemic. The world witnesses a magnitude of change, in various aspects, from time to time, across ages. The year gone by brought us face to face with issues we didn't know or imagine would come by.
Masked hellos, quiet malls, empty airports. Yes, we saw it all, took it in our stride and kept moving. This picture will always remind me of how airports could be empty, despite all the buzz of work and travel that keeps everyone on the move.
Someday, when I am sitting at an airport buzzing with people, I will remember this day when it took my eyes a quick search to check if stalls were open for that quick shopping, if the cappuccino was inviting still, or if a friend I bumped into and promised to catch up with soon, came by.
This picture will also remind me of how we all are ultimately on an individual journey.
