Visamo Kids Foundation, a shelter home for children from disadvantaged background, from across the state, is hosting a series of talks on this page.
Kajal, an alumni of Visamo is sharing her life lessons learnt at and during her journey of twelve years at Visamo, from Class I, at the tender age of 6 years, till completion of class XII.
After stepping out of the institution, Kajal completed her post graduation in Social Work (Women Centered Studies) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences- TISS, Mumbai, this year. She believes in giving back to the society and is passionate about empowering women. She is currently working with ANANDI, an NGO working with women collectives in Gujarat.
Visamo strives towards empowering lives through access to quality education in partnership with the finest of the schools in the city, grassroots organizations and the community at large. Till date 36 children have graduated out after completing XII and are pursuing higher studies. Many have completed their studies and have started earning and supporting their families.
